Spitfire Audio, the British company who make some of the finest sound sample libraries in the world, are preparing a ‘Bernard Herrmann’ sound collection.
This month, François recorded ondes Martenot samples for these at the late Sir George Martin’s, (now Richard Boote & Paul Woolf's) Air Lyndhurst studios in Hampstead, London.

Charles Hazlewood, players from Goldfrapp, Portishead, the British Paraorchestra and Jarvis Cocker played a short but intense concert again of television music by Barry Gray at St George's Church, Bristol as part of 'The Fringe' supported by the BBC Radio 6Music Festival. Close arrangements were by Ian Gardner. François Evans featured on ondes Martenot.
The live BBC recording of this concert may be broadcast on BBC Radio 6.
At Colston Hall, Bristol, François played ondes Martenot in a concert of music by Barry Gray conducted by Charles Hazlewood. Fellow musicians featured from Goldfrapp, Portishead and the British Paraorchestra.
Mike Jones is on board to design the album art for forthcoming releases of the soundtracks to Darren Ward's Sudden Fury and Georges Petitjean's Game Over.
